Interview with Amor - Illustrator of the Botany Series
Share
An interview with South African Amor Roth , the illustrator of the Botany series. We visited her in her studio in Cape Town for the interview.
Each scarf series tells its own story and aims to create a connection between South Africa and Switzerland. I deliberately choose a single designer to delve deeper into a theme. I had the idea for the botany series some time ago, as South Africa has a truly unique flora. To illustrate and make this fascinating world accessible, I focused on three themes: the countryside, the coast, and something familiar.
Amor is knowledgeable about the plant world and has a playful and minimalist illustration style that fits this project perfectly. I then colourised her illustrations and adapted them to the respective layouts. I hope you like it :)
Have fun, Samuel
