BADI Culture is a sustainable bag and accessory label that unites two homelands: South Africa and Switzerland. We design unisex products and value timeless slow fashion.

 

Swiss & South Africans

Since 2014, BADI Culture has combined the warm spirit of Cape Town with clean Swiss design. Our products are born from a curiosity about their origins – they tell a story of home and open your eyes to new things.

We design in our studio in Lucerne and collaborate with designers and craftspeople from South Africa and Switzerland. All BADI Culture products are Responsibly produced in South Africa and Europe.

 

Sustainable & local production

Our environment is important to us, which is why we are continuously optimising our ecological footprint. Manufacturing in Europe and South Africa is a conscious decision, as it allows us to use the best locally produced materials and support the local industry as much as possible. Only when certain materials are unavailable in a region do we seek a sustainable partner elsewhere. Currently, we primarily work with organic cotton, GOTS-certified silk, and vegetable-tanned leather.

Work with us

We strive to build long-term and sustainable relationships with all our partners. In Switzerland, we collaborate with a variety of retailers and businesses, including boutiques, concept stores, and social institutions. In addition to our own products, we also design for other companies or support them in developing their own labels.
