01 — History

From Cape Town to Switzerland.

BADI Culture was founded in 2014 by Samuel Reichmuth in Lucerne, Switzerland. But its story began much earlier – in Cape Town, South Africa.

Growing up between two cultures shaped Samuel’s perspective on design and the world. Feeling at home in two places so far apart inspired him to bring these worlds together.

From this personal story, BADI Culture grew into an independent accessories label – a creative canvas for designing objects and telling stories inspired by the world around him.

At its heart, BADI Culture is about connections – between people, places, cultures and different perspectives.

 02 — Design World

Curiosity as inspiration.

Through our designs, we aim to spark curiosity and inspire discovery. We explore themes connected to South Africa and Switzerland, interpreting them through our own creative perspective.

Our Botanic Series, for example, draws inspiration from South Africa’s extraordinary flora, that only grows there. Yet some of these plants are also found in Switzerland, often without us knowing their origins. Discover why >

Our studio in Lucerne is the home of BADI Culture. It brings together design, product development, our atelier, showroom and logistics under one roof.

Here, we develop new ideas, create selected accessories and offer repairs and alterations.
