The diverse fynbos vegetation stretches along the coast between the towns of Clanwilliam and Port Elizabeth. This so-called Cape Flora region is a distinct floral kingdom. It is the smallest and most biodiverse floral kingdom in the world. In 2004, it was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Many of the fynbos plants are endemic to the Cape region, meaning they grow nowhere else in the world. The term fynbos comes from the Dutch word "fijnbosch," meaning "finely branched bush," and is typical of this vegetation.
The scent and flavour of fynbos are unique. Typical of fynbos herbs is their sunny, floral note, along with an intensely herbal taste on the tongue. Rooibos is probably the best-known fynbos plant.
The design incorporates some of the more well-known Fynbos plants. The colours celebrate their sunny freshness.

The Botanik Serie:
The Botanik Serie is a collection where fresh and vibrant colours were deliberately chosen to accentuate the radiant effect of the organic silk. The series comprises three designs: Fynbos, Kelp Forest, and African Olive. These designs were inspired by the diversity of the South African biosphere.
To authentically present the content of the Botanik Series, we collaborated with the South African illustrator Amor Coetzee worked together.
