The barn swallow is a precise long distance migrant, travelling between Europe and Africa. Year after year, it returns to the same place, making it a symbol of orientation, belonging and return. In her clean and minimal style, Anja Wicki places the swallow at the centre of the design, complemented by pictogram inspired elements that connect the plant life of two continents.

Each design represents movement between Europe and Africa, celebrating the quiet connections between places, people and seasons.
